I want my students to practice high frequency words and to start to work on their spelling. I was thrilled to discover that my students can get that practice through a quick warm up in class generated by Canva’s AI assistant.
On Canva there is a crossword game that the AI assist will rewrite with your vocabulary list. I started by searching for “ready-made game crossword”. Then I asked the AI assistant to rewrite the crossword with the terms my students learned in class. You can use the same puzzles I came up with below or make your own.
These puzzles are easy to share with students. They are published on the web and the link will bring students to the puzzle. They are a quick, handy review of high-frequency vocabulary.
