Effort and Behavior grades appear on the report card along with a letter grade. I rely on the district’s agreed upon descriptions of these grades.
1: All homework is on time and thoroughly done. Student is prepared with materials for class each day. Student seeks help when needed. Student actively participates in class.
2: Homework is usually on time and thoroughly done. Student is usually prepared for class. Student usually seeks help when needed. Student participates in class.
3: Homework is frequently late or not thoroughly done. Student’s preparation for class is inconsistent. Student rarely seeks help when needed. Student does not participate in class consistently.
4: Student frequently does not complete homework. Student is unprepared for class. Student does not seek help. Student does not participate.
1: Student is appropriate, respectful, and focused.
2: Student is usually appropriate, respectful, and focused.
3: Student’s behavior sometimes interferes with the learning of others.
4: Student frequently interferes with the learning of others.
